David Glenn McCoy, 49, died suddenly September 21, 2011. He was born March 24, 1962, and was a native of Port Arthur, Texas. He attended and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He was a teacher for over 20 years and at the time of his death resided in the Houston –Pasadena area. Survivors include his children Travis and Taryn McCoy of Groves, Texas, mother Mary Ann McCoy of Jasper, Texas, brothers Michael McCoy and wife Beth of Houston, Texas, Robert McCoy and wife Donna of Panama City, Florida. Also surviving are a niece Lauren McCoy of San Francisco, California, two nephews Travis McCoy of Houston and Dustin Sites of New Orleans, Louisiana; as well as uncles Rudy Savoie of New Jersey and Dr. Rob Savoie of California.
A memorial service for family and friends will take place at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Earthman Funeral Directors Hunters Creek Chapel in Houston. Rev. Bob Webb of Rosehill Methodist Church in Tomball Texas, will officiate. Interment will be beside his father in Toledo Bend Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas.
