David Lee Mauk, age 56, entered Heavens Gates and became a Disciple of GOD on September 24th, 2021 at 12:13 a.m., peacefully with his wife Maria "ChaCha" by his side. David was born in Houston, Texas on September 15th, 1965. He graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1984. David was a Beloved Husband, Father, Grand-Father, Brother, Uncle & Great Friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Edward Mauk & Angelina Ortiz; Unlces Marty, Benny, Abel & Jessie. David is survived by his wife Maria Mauk, daugther Vanessa Macias, son Mitchell Mauk, Grandchildren, Ayanna, Donivan, and Nate Flores; siblings, Jeanette Cortez, Carmen Crawford, Lori Porter and Richard Mauk; aunts, Carmen, Esther, Mary & Rosa; uncle Manuel; nieces & nephews and countless friends.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. In his free time he enjoyed live Metal Concerts & working merch. booths for 2 of his favorite bands Distartica & Wolfeblitzer. He enjoyed watching movies and could quote one liners from his all time favorites. He loved spending time with family, friends, or whomever would show up at his favorite spot, Texas City Dike. David always dreamed of traveling the world in an RV and that dream became a reality a few months ago when he purchased his new RV. He was able to enjoy it in the time he has had it. He leaves that most treasured gift behind for his family to enjoy and remember him on every trip they take. For many who knew David, he was a tough "fearless" type of guy and over the past 2 months David opened his heart and let the "fearless" person he was fade. He gave his heart and soul to GOD and prayed daily. This faith he began to have and show was the Biggest Blessing of All. He began to show the love he held within. He enjoyed the phone calls with his sisters, aunts, cousins, nephews and everyone who reached out. Thank you for the love, support, and peace each of you left him with.
David was a dedicated employee of Ultimate Linings for the past 13 years. He encountered many people in that time. Co-workers became so much more. Friendships turned into unbreakable bonds. He loved his job and all of his Ultimate Family. Our family would like to Thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time. A Special Thanks to not only an old boss but a Great Friend; Deepak Mittal.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Nurses Lucy, Andrea,Shawn & Cynthia for their support and kindness as during this time they began to feel like family to David & Maria.
