I have only meet David once in a recent trip to Houston. His warmth, passion for life and dedication to work really inspired me. May his soul rest in peace.

Uncle David will be missed by us all, he was like a father to me, he was my escort for my senior year Homecoming court and he was bigger than life in everything he did for us and our family. Aunt Deborah I found this picture and he is there with his big wonderful smile.

David was a wonderful step Dad to me for over 20 years, I counted him as my second Dad, and many of you may not know he is grandfather to my 2 grandsons, Tyler and Garrett.

David was a friend and a colleague who lived life to the fullest.  He touched so many people with his warmth and kindness.  He was a genuinely good soul and will be missed.

My heart was torn on Tuesday upon learning of David's unexpected death. Sara you and the girls have and will be in my prayers for days to come. I got to see him for the last time in April 2012 at your mother's (Cousin Carolyn's) graveside service in Dublin,GA. Always with a big smile on his face he showed the love for family. Cherish the memories as he is now a guardian angel watching over you. Love y'all.

I came to know David through his union with Connie about three years ago and I am proud to call him a friend of our family.   I remember Connie telling me he could be “the one” and after meeting and getting to know David I knew why.  Being around David was addictive, yes addictive.   You could never seem to get enough of his smile, larger than life personality, incessant quest for all things good in life and his love…love of people, love of dogs, love of knowledge, and love of sports.   But for all his love, the love he had with Connie is what made me happiest.  The two were made for each other and I am thankful that God blessed them with the gift of being in each others lives.  

It is hard to understand why God called him so early in his life on earth, but it is not hard to see why.  David was a very special person to many people and his many talents will serve the Lord well.  David was much more than a friend to us; he was family.  

Continue to do great things my friend, introduce Patches to Pacer for us, and know that we will always be here for Connie.   We will always love you!

Uncle David, there are not enough words to describe the wonderfully exceptional man that you are. It was such an honor to have you as part of our family. The positivity and happiness that you portrayed is surely something that Ezri and I hope we can portray as we live on and raise our babies. Thank you for loving us and loving Natalie and Gabriella (small fry). We miss you so much already. We will always hold the memories you created with our family in our hearts. God truly blessed us by introducing you into our family. David, from one Bulldog to another...we were blessed to meet you and share some good times with you and Connie. Thank you for the light and laughter you brought to the world, for taking care of Johnny and Sandra, and for teaching us how to make a mean steak!

David, julie and I are blessed to have become friends with you and Connie over the last few years. It brings a huge smile to my face when I think about your kindness and huge spirit. You were a good man, kind and thoughtful and always happy and upbeat. I know God is proud to have you as a son. We will see you one day , my friend, in a place with no sadness. David was one of my first friends in Starkville, Ms many years ago. He was always happy and fun to be around as a 10 year old boy and it sounds like he carried those traits into adulthood. I loved knowing him and consider him one of my lifelong friends. I know he will be missed by many.

I am so sorry to hear about David. He was such a sweet friend to me in college at Mississippi State. He taught me to dance and was always so up beat and supportive. He had a smile that would light up the world. So sorry for your loss. Am keeping all of you in my prayers.

David, although we only knew you a few short months, you have left us with many fond memories. We enjoyed meeting you at my sister's bachelorette party & then hanging out with you a month later at her wedding, you made our card games & game of Farkle much more fun. We enjoyed seeing the happiness you brought to my cousin Connie's life and for that we thank you. It was a great pleasure knowing you, you will not be forgotten.  You will be missed.

You will be miss - I recall the day that I was having the Super Bowl party at my house when the Eagles were in the Super Bowl and David told me he would come over but he was going to wear his Cowboys cap and Jersey.  I told him that he it was fine because when I open the door if he was dressed like that I would just have to give him a change of clothes.  David was such a fantastic guy that he actually went out and brought himself an Eagles Jersey and cap and then came over.  There are no words to express how much he touched my life.  The man that was greater than life will truly be missed by a lot of people.  Until we meet again

David you were the light in so many of our lives, you will truly be missed by your family and friends, Thank you for making my life richer for the 18 years we were married. I know that you are with Ma Myrtle and you are both smiling down on us with open arms.  We will always love and miss you.

You will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you greatly.

You always ended a phone call or email with "have a great day" and since I lived with you and Sue and worked for you, I picked that up and to this day I say, "have a great day".
