David was born July 4, 1959 in Landstuhl, Germany. He is preceded in death by his father, William Wiley Linder and mother, Carolyn Elsie Dixon Linder of Dublin, GA. He is survived by his fiancée Connie Trevino-Bryant of Cypress, TX, his sister, Sara Jane Linder, nieces Faith and Hope Miley of Columbus, MS, aunt and uncle, June and Hue Moore and Rhonda and Lee Dixon of Dublin, GA and numerous cousins.
He was raised in Mississippi, was a Mississippi State University Alumni and he loved his Bulldogs. After he received his Masters of Professional Accountancy in 1983, David moved to Houston and made Texas his home. David had 13 years of service with the Friedkin Companies, most recently with Gulf States Financial Services as a Senior IT Manager.
In a short period of time, he inherited a vast number of family and friends that extended from Houston to the Rio Grande Valley. He embraced a whole new culture of food, music (One Ton of Tomatoes) and family traditions such as playing Santa Clause at the Trevino Christmas get together. The Annual Los Carnales MC events at Lake Somerville brought out the Grill Master in David. He quickly became a brother to the LC/LF Nation. He loved being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed attending music concerts, cooking and riding his motorcycle. He was a devoted Houston Texans fan, down to the red hair on game day.
David was larger than life and never met a stranger. David touched the lives of many, and his absence will be felt by all whose lives he touched. David was a man of God who followed the will of Christ and lived life to the fullest, keeping Christ, family, and friends close to his heart. He was loved, respected, and admired and will be truly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to some of the charities that David so willingly gave to: National Foundation for Cancer Research, March of Dimes, MD Anderson Cancer Center and American Diabetes Association.
