David Chase Gardner, age 39, of Cypress, Texas passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Chase was born in Houston, TX on February 22, 1984 to James Franklin Gardner and Larraine Ashworth Gardner. He attended High School in Pascagoula, MS, and graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Professionally, Chase had a productive and prosperous career in the oil services industry, where he was well known, well thought of and where he made many close friendships. He became an expert in drill bits and drilling pipeline. He took great pride in providing the best equipment and excellent technical service to his customers with several of the major oil corporations.
Chase was a loving father, son, brother, husband, uncle and friend. His greatest joys were his two children, Kayleigh and Bentley. He was devoted to them and was proudly involved in all of their school and sports activities. He also enjoyed golf, hunting, and fishing with friends, family and associates. Chase was also an avid sports fan, who loved attending Astros games and the many baseball, basketball, football and volleyball games played by his children.
Chase is survived by his loving family: His children, Kayleigh Brooke Gardner (15), Bentley Chase Gardner (11) and their mother, Lyndi Gardner. He is also survived by his mother, Larraine Ashworth Gardner, his father, James Franklin Gardner and wife Anne; his brother, James Chad Gardner and wife Tiffany and their children, Mallory, Paisley and Ryland; his sister, Rebecca Burnitt Fontana, her husband Wes and their children Will and John.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 21st from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel located at 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 22nd at 2:00 PM at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church located at 717 Sage Rd. Houston, TX 77056. St. Martin's will stream the service on YouTube. A link to the stream will be placed on the Church Website at least 24 hours before the service at https://stmartinsepiscopal.org/funerals/.
