David Joseph Galla

Dave was born to Allie John Galla and Sarah Hattie Kopech April 21, 1948, in Houston, TX. He married Sheryl Rae Kunetka in 1973 and they lived together in Houston, TX. Together they raised two children.

Dave is survived by: Sheryl Galla (wife), Roxanne Bales (daughter), Dustin Galla (son), Alexandra Galla (daughter-in-law), Abigail Galla (granddaughter) and Alaya Bales (granddaughter).

He was preceded in death by Allie Galla (Father), Sarah Galla (Mother), Eugene J. Galla (Brother) and Sammy P. Galla (Brother).

Dave worked as a plumber for 46 years. He was a master plumber for 37 of those years. He opened his own plumbing company in 1983 called Dave’s Plumbing Company. He also served in the US Navy for 2 years as an aircraft jet mechanic during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing with his two granddaughters. He was also involved in Warriors Weekend, a non-profit that assisted wounded veterans with a relaxing weekend on the water in Port O’ Conner.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday June 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church located at 215 E. 10th St. in Houston with the mass to follow at 12:00 pm. There will be a procession to the burial site located at 6900 Lawndale St. In Houston at Forest Park Lawndale.
