David Glenn Blackburn

David Glenn Blackburn, age 63, of Buffalo, Texas passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. David was born May 24, 1958 in Liberty, Texas. He graduated from MB Smiley High School in Houston, TX in 1976.

David had a long career in the Oilfield Industry and worked for several companies including Eastman Whipstock, Baker Hughes and Penlee Directional. He worked and lived around the world and was a seasoned traveler. Some of the countries he's visited are Russia, Mexico, Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Thailand, England and many more we couldn't remember!

David's stories could entertain you for hours and his smile would light up the room! David had a passion for family, his property, shooting and he donated regularly to the East Texas Food Bank and other organizations. He took pride in the upkeep of his property and enjoyed entertaining family.

He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Madisonville, the Leon County Gun Club, National Rifle Association, Republican National Committee and Trump's Save America PAC, to name a few...

He was survived by his mother Ruthie Lee Blackburn, brother Bobby Max Blackburn (sp. Shelly Blackburn), Niece Tiffany Blackburn, Nephew Jason Blackburn (sp. Taryn Blackburn) and his sweet kitty Piggy. He also shared custody of Doodle Bug the donkey.

Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

A funeral service will occur Monday, December 20, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM

A committal service will occur Monday, December 20, 2021 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM
