David was a kind man who always had a smile on his face and a kind word in his mouth.  It was a pleasure to see him when I went to Court.

While I was sitting at the Memorial service was remembering when David used to work at the Rocket games at the Compaq Center in the 90's. He would save a spot for me to park, even if the gates were closed.  He'd say there's always room for you Poncho.
Thanks my friend for the fond memories you surely will be missed.

I grew up on the same street and attended elementary school with David.  We later graduated together from the High School for Health Professions.  Over all those years, David was always nice to everyone.  He always had a smile, a good sense of humor, and a respectful attitude.  It's no surprise that the tributes say the same about him as an adult.  I got to visit with him at the tour of the new high school building in 2018, 40 years after graduating.  He really hadn't changed much at all.  Such a wonderful life lived.  My prayers go out to his family during this difficult time. 

The tributes are consistent ... David was a beautiful God-loving husband, dad, brother, friend and co-worker. He loved to talk about the Lord and leading people to salvation through faith in Christ alone. I pray our memories of David will bring us peace and comfort, as God consoles us with His promise of eternal life. Until that day my friend  ....

So very sad to hear of David's passing. He was the absolute "Nice Guy"....He treated everyone with kindness and was always very professional as a deputy sheriff. His wife and daughters are awesome as well and I can't imagine how painful this is for them. Thinking of you guys and God bless you.....

Hello, My name is Morgan Bouldin and on the behalf of the class of 1978, High School for the Health Professions, we would like to give our sincere condolences to David's family and friends. David had been an integral part of lives for over forty years and we will miss him dearly. David touched our lives profoundly and he helped to keep our class bonded, organized and energized. We were small but we were strong. Every 5-10 years, David was a rock of reliability, keeping us posted, providing status and always sharing information with his fellow classmates. I always looked forward to hearing from him because I knew that he would share some interesting news, be it sad, funny, or enlightening. As I remanence, this was obviously one of his callings. David simply loved his class, and I know that we all share a sense of pride being your classmate.  David lived his life in a way that inspire us all and give new revelations to the scripture, "absent from the body, present with the Lord" because David lived his life like a man on the mount-his feet on solid ground but his head was already in the sky. What a real example for us all, even right now. So David Arriaga, in the presence of men, angels and God Almighty, we salute you and we thank and praise God for giving us the opportunity to share our lives with you. We were the better for it.  And to the family, may God heal every hurt, comfort every discomfort and wipe away every tear. Good bye brother David, rest in peace until we meet again--for the real class reunion.

David always had time to help those that needed prayer.  He was always by my side when I needed prayer when I was going through a very difficult time with my marriage.  He taught me to reach out to God and give me direction in learning more about our Lord.  Such a wonderful, faithful man.  You will be missed but I know you will always be with us. 

I so love how David and Lisa would come thru to family in support and prayer.  I will always hold dear how they visited me when I was in the hospital.  So many great conversations of encouragement.  I am so glad for Heaven.  Heaven is a tremendous and wonderful reward. Looking for the day to be together again. 

David was a kind-hearted friend and coworker of mine. We worked together at the courthouse when I had the privilege of being his supervisor. We also worked many hours together at a longtime extra job. David was always the same, funny, compassionate and wise. He was ever the family man and he enjoyed his friends too. I will miss him. 

I can't say I ever met a kinder soul. David was a Christian first and foremost. An example for other to follow and a good friend and co-worker. Knowing him for as long as I did, has been a blessing in my life. Anyone who ever came within his influence had to feel the same as I mentioned previously, I never met a kinder soul. May God bless the family and keep them close showing them His loving comfort now and Siempre'!  

David Arriaga was a courthouse friend and I am sad that he left this world too soon.  He was an exemplary human.  A good and kind soul.  Rest in peace. 

I’m so sorry & saddened by David’s death. In addition to being my long time friend, he was such a wonderful person with a positive attitude. 
We worked together many years at the Harris County Sheriffs Office and also many part time jobs over the years. I will dearly miss David. RIP my dear friend.
