He is survived by two sons, Louis Alvarez, Anthony Alvarez and his wife Tena; one daughter Linda Alvarez Reyes and her husband, Ray Reyes; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. David is preceded in death by his wife Connie Alvarez.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary Vigil at 7:00 pm at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th St. Houston, Texas. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 12:30 pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St. Houston, Texas 77018. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, 3506 North Main St. Houston, Texas 77009.
