Darrell Wayne Lucas

Darrell born to Wayne Lucas and Yvonne Byrd with Stepdad CT Byrd. Born on May 13, 1959, in Pasadena, Texas. He married Sharon in 1977, and they lived together in Anahuac, Texas.

Together they raised two children, Traci Lucas Davis and Daniel Lucas.

He is survived by wife Sharon Lucas, daughter and son in law (Traci and Daniel Davis), son and daughter in law (Daniel and Amber Lucas). He also leaves his grandchildren, Hayden Davis, Brody Davis, Amy Snider and Abigail Lucas. He also leaves to cherish memory his mother Yvonne Byrd, and siblings Diane Byrd, Debi Garrett, Dale Byrd, Mark Byrd, Darla Lucas and Diana Lucas. Many nieces and nephews and great friends.

He was preceded in death by Wayne Lucas, father, CT Byrd stepfather, brother Doug Byrd and brother-in-law Jim Garrett, Adam Polka grandfather, and Felicia Polka grandmother.

Darrell worked as a chemical operator for Lubrizol Corporation for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved being with family.

A Visitation is scheduled for December 19, 2022, 5:00- 9:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale. Services are scheduled for December 20,2022 at 10 am in Chapel of Angels Chapel in Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Committal Ceremony following. A reception will follow at Daniel and Traci’s home.
