Danny Frank Davis of Onalaska, Texas passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born on October 19, 1946, in Houston, Texas where he grew up in a close-knit family, loving all things outdoors.
He graduated from Milby High School in 1964, and moved on to attend Sam Houston State, in Huntsville Texas.
He worked a long career in the oil and gas industry working for various companies such as Sinclair, ARCO, Howell and Genesis. His career accolades include incident commander for several high-profile oil spills, Alaskan pipeline inspector and an industry patent holder.
Danny loved the outdoors. You could often find him on a boat fishing, in the woods hunting, or in the garage building anything from kitchen cabinets to cat condos. His love of car restoration kept his 3 girls running the roads in cars such as a 64 ½ Mustang, 54 Chevy, and several Volkswagen bugs to name a few.
He is preceded in death by his parents J.B., Valeria and his brother Luther and Mike.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patty, his daughters Dannette, Jennifer and her Fiancée Ryan, Jaime and her husband Ryan, his grandchildren Santino, Jackson, Mason, Rocco and Abby, his sister Dianne and her husband Tommy and their children Nicole, Tommy and Destiny.
The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice of Livingston, Texas for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days. Kaitlyn and Marquetta were angels on earth and a simple thank you could never be enough.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Forest Park Lawndale, Grand Chapel on Saturday, August 19th from 6:00 to 9:00. The service will take place Sunday, August 20th at the Grand Chapel at 11:00 followed by burial service at 12:00 at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Immediately following the burial, friends and family are invited to Jennifer Dietel’s house at 21922 Cascade Hollow Lane, Spring, TX 77379.
