Daniel G. Wheeler III, 66 years of age, of Houston Texas went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday July 12, 2021. Daniel was born on May 28, 1955, in Houston Texas to Daniel G. Wheeler Jr and Maria Teresa Deleon, the eldest of six children. Native Houstonian, Daniel graduated from Jefferson Davis class of ’74. He furthered his education at the engineering school of Texas A&M. Commissioned as a Texas peace officer of law enforcement in 1974, retired from Metro Police Department after 20yrs and honorably served his community for 38 years. Daniel was full of life and had an unforgettable smile. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a lover of all music and never said no to the dance floor.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Orfelinda Wheeler, Son Daniel G. Wheeler IV, Daughter April Wheeler, Christina & Cesar Delgado (daughter, son in law) Martin & Sarah Wheeler, (son, daughter in law) Victoria & David Mata, (daughter, son in law) Adrian Wheeler, (son) and 11 beautiful grandchildren. He leaves behind Mother Maria Teresa Deleon, Brothers Lawrence & Michael Wheeler, and sister Grace Marie Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his father Daniel G. Wheeler Jr, brothers Joaquin and Ronald Wheeler whom he joins in heaven.
