Daniel Tijerina was born on June 10, 1938 in Baytown, TX to Daniel & Victoria Tijerina. He is survived by his loving wife, Adela Tijerina together they celebrated 67 years of marriage and raised 3 wonderful children.
Daniel and his wife Adela were part of a bowling league for many years. He was an avid Houston Oiler Fan, season ticket holder. Also he was a loyal Houston Astro’s fan. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and Tejano oldies. He volunteered at St. Benedict as Security Guard for school of religion for many years. He had a lot of fun spending time at the casino, playing the slot machines. He served in US Air Force. He was employed by Irvin Veedell & Son Inc. as a Manager/Tailor Salesman for 16 years. He was employed by the International Assn for 14 years. He worked as a PayPhone Technician for a couple of PayPhone Companies, then later retired.
Daniel will be most remembered for the love of his family, his witty & funny sense of humor. He loved talking and laughing with anyone. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Daniel passed away November 17, 2023 in Houston, TX at home surrounded by his loving family. He preceded by his parents Daniel and Victoria Tijerina and his brother Victor Tijerina and sister Yolanda “Judy” Lindsay. Survived by his wife Adela Tijerina; children Francisco Perez Jr. (Helen), Cynthia Tijerina and Daniel Tijerina III (Hilaria); his siblings Esequiel Tijerina (Rosa), Adela Tijerina Rios, Joe Tijerina, Zulema Flores (Polo) and Mike Tijerina: his grandchildren Athena Tijerina, Joanne De La Rosa, Francisco Peres III (Laurie) Jason Perez (Lucy) Julie Perez, Jacquelyn Jaramillo, Natalie Mallida (Sergio), many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
