Daniel R.H. Mahoney

He received an appointment to the Naval Academy and graduated in June 1946. Daniel Married Beverly A. Monroe on Valentines Day 1947. She was the Love of His Life. He moved to Texas in 1950 and was recalled to the Navy for Korea from 1951-53. Daniel worked as an engineer and banker retiring as President and Chairman of Chemical Bank of Houston in 1982.

He loved to travel the world and visited all seven continents and over 100 countries.

Beverly A. Mahoney died in 1997 after their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

He met and married Beverly Underwood in 1999. She was a Godsend to him and they traveled together.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly, and children Patrick Mahoney, Katy Ford, Andy Mahoney, James Mahoney, grandchildren Dan Mahoney, Stephen Ford, Beverly Ford, Maxwell Mahoney, Margaret Mahoney, Carol Mahoney, and great grandchildren Sophia Mahoney and Ellie Mahoney. He is also survived by his step-children, Bob Underwood and Susan Knight.

Family visitation will be on Thursday, December 30, from 5 until 8pm, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday December 31 at 10am in the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079.
