Daniel Bert Hensley, Sr, 82, passed away on June 11, 2015, in Houston, Texas. Born on November 5, 1932, Dan was a native Houstonian. Dan graduated from Reagan High School and Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth. He had a lovely voice and was a member of many choral groups including, The Tidelanders, Men of Leisure, and the chancel choir at St. Stephen’s UMC. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend to all, Dan will be truly missed. Dan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lola, his daughter, Brenda Paulk, and his son, Bert Hensley and wife Elizabeth, as well as grandchildren, Alisa Tackett and husband John, Glenn Paulk, Tripp Hensley and Jackson Hensley. Dan has two great grandsons, Ian and Finley Tackett.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. For those desiring, contributions can be made to the St. Stephen’s UMC Music Department or the Alzheimer’s Association of Houston.
