Daniel A Gast

morning of Friday, March 1st, 2024.

Daniel was born in Moulton, Texas, October 24th, 1929 and was raised by a hard working single mother,

Annie. Dan was one of 9 siblings.

Dan met the love of his life, Dorothy Busby, at the American Legion Hall in Flatonia, TX at a dance. It was love at first sight. They were married on September 5th, 1954. They had a wonderful life together for almost 65 years. A life filled with a lot of love and happiness. Dan and Dorothy had three sons. Randy Gast was born July 13th, 1956, Darrell Wayne Gast was born September 24th, 1958, and Michael Gast was born May 29th, 1960. Randy is special needs and Dan and Dorothy dedicated their entire life to ensuring he had the best life possible.

Dan’s favorite role was that of a grandparent. He treasured his time with his only granddaughter, Dayna, and loved being her PawPaw and her biggest supporter.

He left a lasting impression on many people and left hearts filled with lots of wonderful memories that will be

cherished forever. He will be missed by many.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral service will follow starting at 10:00 AM. A committal service will begin on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
