Dear Daddy,

You were the one that always brought us the neatest things from your travels abroad, and had the best stories of what  it was like in other countries.  Because of you I want to see the world and take my kids too! You were the one that made Gene and I get horseback riding lessons after our first ride ended with me nearly getting thrown off as the horse trotted over to the water trough( hitting every branch along the way!) so we could know how to ride on our own. I am able to change a flat tire on my car because you didn't want your daughter stranded on the side of the road helpless.  You taught us self defense moves to protect ourselves, and to always be aware of our surroundings, so we could keep an eye out for the "bad guys" when you couldn't be there.  You constantly pushed us to be independent and self sufficient even when it terrified us. You were the first man in my life to give me roses and you handed me to the last one to give them to me too. I will forever be grateful for the things you taught us and until we are reunited in Heaven, I will miss you more than I can put into words.
