Dana Lynn (Fiery) Fry, 60 years of age, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at Cypress Northwest Medical Center. Born at Northshore Hospital, Houston, Texas on September 28, 1958 she was the daughter of the late Dolores (Smith) Fiery Jeffrey and Everett Earle Fiery.
Dana grew up as part of an Army family, living in Colorado, North Carolina, Panama, and Germany. She graduated from Aldine High School in Aldine, Texas in 1977.
Dana was best known as a fire cracker, who spoke her mind, she was a hard worker, problem solver and fashionista who loved her high heels. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She brought love and laughter to all of her family, friends, and coworkers and was truly a light in our lives. Dana retired from ExxonMobil in 2017 after 17 years of service, a career which offered her the opportunity to travel all over the US, Europe, and Asia. Prior to her employment at Exxon, she worked for Maersk Steamship Line, Unishippers, Biehl & Company in Houston, and ESNA Aerospace in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Dana is survived by her husband Mike, son Chris, and stepdaughters Jennifer Fry, Brandy Van Don, Amy Cox, and Amber Bishop, step father Paul Jeffrey, step mother Tess Fiery, sisters Denise and husband Bill Arnold, Dawn and her husband Shayne DeBolt, Bobby and John Repic, Roxanne Fiery, nieces Jessica Graddy, Christina Nelson, Ashley DeBolt, nephews Josh Arnold and Tim Arnold and their families. Dana is predeceased by her mother, Dolores, father Earle, Grandparents Myrtle & Ernest Smith, and Elinor & Bob Fiery.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095 on Saturday May 4, 2019 at 2PM. As Dana would have wanted it to be, not as a somber occasion but as a joyful one, guests are invited to dress in bright colors, please come prepared to share great and loving memories of Dana. Refreshments will be served after.
