His hobbies included collecting classic oldies, and enjoying wines. He was best known for his extensive knowledge of 50's and 60's rock and roll music.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Bennett, his father Henry Fries and his sister Angie Fries McGee.
He is survived by his son Justin Fries, his grandson Daniel Fries, his sister Kathleen Abbe, his brother Michael Fries, his uncle Tony Vallee, and his very special friend Catherine Anderson.
A memorial service for Dan will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
