Dale Charles Taylor, affectionately known as UT, was born to Jules and Mary Edna Taylor on September 27, 1939. He enjoyed spending time with family, listening to Zydeco, enjoyed fishing and of course watching the Houston Astros and the Texans. Though he was not present for the Astros Championship win, we would like to believe that they won it for him.
Through his life, he worked hard and his best quality by far was making everyone feel important. He counted many as special and loved them dearly. One in particular is Ethan, who kept him persevering throughout his health challenges.
Dale was a faithful member of St. Gregory the Great for over 40 years where he rarely missed a service. He received Christ many years ago and is now resting in God’s care.
Dale was married to his wife Genevieve for almost 60 years. He was blessed to be the father of Janet Brown, Carolyn Jordan (Leo), Dale Taylor (deceased) Sheila, Mark Taylor (Dahlia), Jennifer Coleman (Joseph), Shawn Taylor (Tremicka). Doubly blessed to have a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and those who had a special place in his heart.
In addition to his son, Dale is preceded in death by his parents Jules and Mary Edna Taylor, granddaughter Tenisha Renee Taylor and all of his siblings except for his sister Beverly Sennet, and sisters-in-love Sarah Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memories a host of family and friends.
