Our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Dale Wayne Quinn, passed away in the mid-morning hours of Friday, February 16, 2018 at his home in Shenandoah, Texas.
Dale, age 67, born in Houston, Texas and a graduate of Smiley High School 1970, is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gwendolyn Fitch Quinn and his two adoring daughters -- Paula Kay Green (Clint) of Magnolia, Texas and Cheryl Quinn Fedechko (Shaun) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Dale also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Luke, Barrett, Charlotte and Tori.
He is predeceased in death by his father, Travis E. Quinn and sister, Linda. He is survived by his mother, Lois K. Quinn of Spring, Texas and his seven siblings: Travis Lee, Pam, Sharon, Cynthia, Gail, Nancy, and MaryLynn.
Dale battled an aggressive, small-cell lung cancer with courage and optimism for eight long months. His fighting spirit supported his family and caregivers around him. He never gave up, and he wanted to do what he could for others battling cancer when hope for himself dimmed.
Dale was a member of the IBEW Local 716 for 40+ years until his retirement in 2010, which enabled him to further his hobby as a “junk/metal/antique/picker” with help from his wife, Gwen.
Dale was known for his hardworking ethic, his kind heart and an adoring love of his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made (by mail) in Dale’s name to: Healthwell Foundation, 20440 Century Blvd., Ste. 250, Germantown, MD 20874; or via website: www.healthwellfoundation.org/donate.
