Daggett Felt Darrough, age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on April 27, 1954, in Houston, Texas, as the second child of Carmen Felt Darrough Bludworth and Eugene Daggett Darrough.
Daggett grew up in Houston. He earned his degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Throughout his professional career, he dedicated himself to his work at the FDIC, Commonwealth Mortgage, and Stages Stores.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Phyllis LaCavera Darrough, and his cherished daughter, Rachel Darrough. He is survived by his mother, Carmen Darrough Bludworth, three brothers and their spouses, Bob and Judy, Mark and Paula, and Ross and Lilli; his sister, Gwen; and many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins. He leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Kris and J. Carter Breed, and their children.
Daggett was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Daggett Darrough; in-laws, Philip, Edith LaCavera; brother-in-law, Greg LaCavera; sister-in-law, Nanette LaCavera; nephew, James Darrough; and niece, Delisa Darrough.
Daggett will be remembered as a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and uncle. He was known for being a wonderful neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand. Daggett was self-taught in home improvement and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at their ranch near Lampasas, Texas.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care provided by his doctors and nurses at Memorial Hermann Hospital at Memorial City.

Arrangements for Daggett will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX, 77077 (281-497-2330) on Friday, April 26th, 2024. Beginning at 9:00 am for the Visitation, 10:00 am for the Memorial Service, and 11:00 am – 1:00 pm for a Reception.
