Cynthia Gale Mitchell-Rhome

Cynthia was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of Gladys and Leonard Mitchell Sr. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and graduated in 1984. She was a star basketball player and excelled at track and volleyball. She was a loyal and dedicated bus operator for Houston Metro for over 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her husband and his motorcycle club. She also enjoyed good food and fun with her close friends and family. She was a caring wife, mother, and friend who was always around with a helping hand.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Leo Rhome Sr.; two sons, John and Travis Mitchell; mother, Gladys Mitchell; sister, Sharon Mitchell; two brothers, Leonard Mitchell Jr. and John Charles Mitchell; several nieces and nephews; granddaughter, Kassadi Mitchell; step-children, Jeremiah Walker (Audra), Evetta Walker, Letrease Weasley, and Leo Rhome Jr. (Luciana); 14 step-grand kids; and 2 step-great-grand children. She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Mitchell Sr.; brother, Craig Mitchell; and several other close relatives.
