Bubba had a diverse range of talents and interests. He landed a career as a project manager and land developer, but his true passions lay in the arts, sports, and the outdoors. He enjoyed many diverse hobbies and interests and was an extremely talented artist and gunsmith. He had a profound talent of black and gray pencil drawings, and his sketches of flora and fauna are the true essence of nature. He was mostly interested in the Civil War Era and antique guns and took immense pride in restoring them. He was very athletic as well and enjoyed playing baseball. His exceptional pitching skills sent Bellaire High School to State his Jr. year and to this day his letterman jacket is proudly displayed in the Bellaire Hall of Fame. He was a skilled archer and bowman as well. And although he had so many great talents, his greatest talent and passion of all was offshore fishing with friends and family on his beloved boat, the “Vitamin Sea”.
Words cannot express our gratitude for the compassionate care our family received from the nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and support animals at Houston Hospice. They treated him and our family with such kindness, dignity, and respect. They not only tended to his physical needs but provided immense emotional support to our entire family. We will be forever grateful for their guidance, support, and empathy through his life transition.
