Mr. Cruz Guzman Garcia

Cruz Guzman Garcia, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend passed away peacefully Monday morning in his room at Trinity Oaks Assisted Living facility.  Cruz was born to Santiago and Julia Garcia on May 3, 1936 in Mexico.  He married Rosalba Benavides in January of 1961.  The young couple immigrated to Texas where Cruz became a skilled carpenter and a supportive father to four sons.  He survived the passing of his beloved wife Rosalba in 2022 and his youngest son Santiago in 2017.  Cruz is survived by his sons (Martin Garcia, Jose Cruz Garcia, Heberto Garcia), his grandchildren (Christine Townsend, Hugo Silva, Nicole Silva, Elizabeth Suarez, Christopher Garcia, Paris Garcia) and his great grandchildren ( Max Silva, Leo Suarez).  Cruz will be missed by his family and the many people whose lives he impacted.

A visitation for Cruz will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077.
