Cora Adeline Thompson

Cora Adeline Thompson went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2017. She was born on September 1, 1927 to parents James and Erna Boyd. Adeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother great-great grandmother, sister and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children: Gwynn Gibbs and her husband Larry, Linda Wilson, Michael Thompson and his wife Beth and Steve Thompson and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren: Melissa Gibson-Adcock, Bryan Gibson, David Thomas, Davida Thomas Jones, Stephanie Gibbs Snider, Larry Gibbs Jr., Jennifer Thompson, Lindsey Thompson, Shayne Thompson, and Sheyan Thompson; great grandchildren: Justin Whitehead, Festus Utley, Nathan Utley, Patsy Gibson, Chase Thomas, Lauren Thomas-Rutledge, Joshua Gibson, Kayla Mendiola, Katelyn Thomas, Shawn Snider, Gavin Gibbs, Tyler Gibbs, Easton Gibbs, Landry Jones, Madison Mateo and Carley Mateo; great-great grandchildren: Tabitha Whitehead, Cora Whitehead, Gabriel Whitehead, Grayson Flores, Emma Lynn and Isaac Lynn; siblings: Jack Boyd, Betty Edward, Chester Boyd, Odell Boyd and Clarence Boyd and a host of friends. Adeline is preceded by her husband W. D. Thompson; daughter Patsy Thompson; son William David Thompson; grandson Shawn Thompson; great grandson Luke Jones and great-great grandson Aiden Whitehead.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed with a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
