Clyde C. Williams, arrived in his heavenly home on March 3rd. He is preceeded in death by his parents: Edward and Maggie Williams; brother, Edward Williams and first born daughter, Elsie Williams McDugle. Clyde was born January 3, 1915 in Houston, Texas. He was a 1934 graduate of Jeff Davis HS in Houston where he played football and baseball. Daddy loved all facets of baseball. After graduation from HS he played with Houston teams in the area and was a BB coach as well. In 1937 he met his loving wife, Lorraine Smith and married in 1939. Clyde began his career at Reed Roller Bit as an electrician. After 39 years of service he retired from Reed Tool Co. as an electrical foreman, and member of the IBEW local union #716. After retirement he worked part-time as a parking supervisor at the Astrodome for 35 years. Clyde was a member of Park Temple Baptist Church for over 40 years. Daddy had enduring faith and is now rejoicing with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. he was also a Mason at the age of 21 with Lindale Park Lodge #1347. Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lorraine Williams; son, Emmett Williams & wife Sylvia; daughter, Esther Markum.; grandchildren: Kevin McDugle & wife Carol, Lorra McDugle Lynch & husband Toby, James McDugle & Lorena, Eric Williams & wife Jerilyn, Edward Williams & wife Laura, Wesley Markum; great grandchildren: William McDugle & wife Tiffany, Dillon McDugle, Stefani and Chole Markum, Easton and Elyana Williams, Jack, Maggie and Kaysie Lynch, luke McDugle; great great granchildren: Garrett McDugle; along with many Nieces and Nephews. Daddy was kind, humble and self-sacrificing always giving, generous and loyal to his family and friends. The family wishes to thank the kind staff of Select Care Home Heatlh as well as the caring staff of Houston Hospice, all who served with heartfelt compassion. We will miss you, we loved you dearly Daddy (Papa), until we meet again. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Houston Hospice or to your choice of charity. the family will receive friends from 5-8PM on Sunday, March 6th. A Celebration of Life will be at 3PM on Monday, March 7th. Both services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
