Clyde was born in Point Blank, Texas and raised in Houston, Texas, where he attended Kashmere Sr High School. He then worked at Norton Ditto Department Store and Bud Moore Auto Dealership.
Clyde was united in marriage to Edna Bell Anderson on November 19, 1966. To this union, three children were born, Andrea, Deirdra, and Clyde Jr. He also had an older son, Clyde Smith, before he was married.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Ford Sr. and Creola, (6 Sisters) Marilyn Jo, Ora Lee, Bobbie Faye, Betty Joyce, Brenda, Erma, (2 Brothers) Oliver, Anthony, (1 Son) Clyde Smith.
Clyde leaves to cherish his memory (3 Children) Andrea, Deirdra, and Clyde Jr. (Daughter In Love) Lashanda Spurlock, (2 Brothers) Ford (Elizabeth) and George, (2 Sisters) Elma (Lawrence), and Glenda (Darrell) (7) Grandchildren, (9) Great Grand Children, (1) God Daughter, Lavora and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
