Clyde Bustamento

Join us for a Celebration of Life service for Clyde Bustamento to be held Monday, December 11, 2023. Visitation at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial to follow.

Clyde is preceded in death by his loving wife Reba, parents Reuben and Adeline Bustamento, son Mike Bustamento, sisters Thelma Lawson and Rosalie Dooley and his Uncle James. Clyde is survived by his children; Chida and Mike Vickery, Mary Butler, Jenny and Roger Stevens, Sandy Bustamento, Willie and Johanna Bustamento, Tommy and Dayna Bustamento. 14 Grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; Aunts: Berta Veuleman and Jeanette Coltson, Vilma & Wilma. Numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Clyde and Reba opened Clyde’s Woodturning Shop in the garages behind their house in 1960 and later opened “The Shop” in 1966. The Shop became a family affair as everyone in the family worked there over the many years! If you dropped by The Shop Clyde would take the time to visit with you and usually the Astros game was on the radio or TV. Hunting and fishing were always a favorite time with family at the country.

And many will remember their yearly Anniversary and Christmas parties. Those were always a favorite of Clyde and Reba to celebrate their life with family and friends and dance the night away! And they also loved playing cards with his aunts, uncles and cousins.

After 47 years in business Clyde and Reba retired to spend more time traveling to their beloved country and Many to tend to his cows and cut the grass. After Reba passed, Clyde loved spending time with his kids, watching all his westerns; Gunsmoke was his favorite, enjoying eating his beloved ice cream and cake and sitting outside on the porch enjoying the weather. Clyde was a loving father and we will be miss him dearly!

Visitation for Clyde will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in The Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Funeral Home, Houston, TX 77039, the funeral service will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
