Clifton Jones

Clifton Jones, 74-years-old, passed away overseas at the Odessa City Hospital in Odessa, Ukraine July 28, 2020. Funeral Service will be Friday August 21, 2020 from 10am to 12pm at Garden Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory, 13430 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77083.

Clifton was born in Abilene, Texas May 29, 1946 to Cornnie Jones and Esther Ward Jones. He attended Woodson High School, Langston University, and dedicated 16 years of his life to the Army of the United States. While in the military, Clifton married Glenda Calloway Jones at the Dyess Air Force Base on August 19, 1978. Clifton loved to travel, he loved his family, and he loved being a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for 50 plus years. He touched many hearts during his life. Clifton loved to laugh, he had the biggest contagious laugh. It will never be forgotten. No words can ever express the abundance of love his family has for him.

Clifton is survived by his wife, Glenda Calloway Jones, 2 daughters Maya Williams and Kimiko Jones, and brothers Connie Jones and Donald Earl Jones.

He was preceded in death by his father Cornnie Jones, his mother Esther Ward Jones, and his brother Kenneth Jones.
