Cleo E Long

Cleo Johnson Long born September 25, 1912, went to be with her Lord & Savior on December 11th, 2010. She is preceded in death by: husband, Herman Clinton Long; son, Clinton Herman Long; parents, Reuben & Whittie Bell Davis Johnson; brother, Willard Johnson; sister, Reva Johnson Butler; brother-in-law, T.D. Butler; along with several nieces and nephews from the Dallas area. Cleo attended Business School in Dallas after high school. After moving to Houston, she worked as a secretary for several years at Lindale Baptist Church where she was a long standing member. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter-in-law, Jeannine Bonjour Long; grandchildren: Larry Thomas Long & wife Lynne, Lance Clinton Long, Lex Bonjour Long & wife Shelly, Larisa Long Loera & husband Rick; great grandchildren: Candice Long Borjas, Rochelle Long, Jake Loera, Luke Loera, Dylan Long, Reya & Nyla Long; great great grandchildren: Mercedes & Nathan Borjas; along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces & nephews from Dallas and East Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Thursday, December 16th with visitation to begin at 2PM. Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers: Larry Long, Lance Long, Lex Long, Rick Loera, Tom Foster, Kent Foster, Gary Greer and David Clayton. Honorary pallbearers: Norman Perkins, Lawrence Dean, Rod Norville and Bob Rayburn Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her church, Lindale Baptist Church, who will forward it to Cleo’s favorite mission, The Lottie Moon Fund.
