Claudette grew up in a large family, she was the oldest child of siblings. She was known to many a Niecey from a childhood nickname. Claudette was born in Houston, Tx; were she spend her childhood and teenage years and attended Drew Academy. The remainder of her teenage and high school years in Brookshire, Tx. There she attended Royal High School and graduated with the class 1983.
Claudette Denise Gordon crossed over peacefully on April 3, 2022 surrounded by her loving and supportive family.
Claudette felt her love for the Lord at a early age which allowed her to accept Christ were she was baptized. Claudette later rededicated her life to God in 2012, and later joined Soul Prospering Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Joan Lewis. Where she served faithfully and was ordained as a Deaconesses by Pastor Lewis. Claudette was a wonderful example of faith, hope , charity and understood the definition of helping others. She served in her community as a leader, a speaker and a teacher and was simply known to many as Mrs. Gordon.
Claudette married her best friend and love of her life Raymond Charles Gordon Sr. On November the 21 1986. Together they bought four beautiful children into the world and over time gained two more children that they would love, supported and treat as their own. The Unity between Raymond and Claudette last for 18 amazing years and came to a end in 2005 but the friendship and co parenting relationship they shared would last for a lifetime. Later in 2013 she remarried her loving and supportive spouse Kenneth Kennedy until he passed away in 2021. The love and passion she had for children and that she shared for the community allowed her to dedicate 20 plus years to Royal Independent School District. Where she was able to touch and change the the lives of students and their family. She was a loving mother of six children, an involved grandmother.
Claudette Denise Gordon leaves her most prize possession her family to mourn her children Tabitha Smithers, Reginald Kennedy (Sarah), Kristian Allen, Charity Gordon, Reyna Gordon & Raymond Gordon Jr.. She leaves her eight grandchildren; Jacques, Ty’Kerri(KK), Kylie, Royale, Karleygh, Sienna, Reign & Reniah. Her siblings Trineice Hearn, Tommie Lewis and Telly Lewis, Aunts and Uncles, host of nieces & nephews, host cousins and friends. She dedicated her time volunteering and helping others throughout the community of Brookshire through church and work. She simply believed in the people she loved. Claudette precedes in death her grandparents, Aunts & Uncle, her parents Freda Scott and Clodis Smithers, her four brothers Reginald “Reggie” Smithers, Anthony Smithers, Lefenus Perry and Marshall Perry.,
