Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, niece Deborah Fields, sister Gloria Chase, son-in-law Patrick Fancher, Sr., grandson David Mason, great-grandson Deegan, and great-grand niece Hannah Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Jean Mason; his four children: James Mason, Sandra McLennon, Laura Fancher, and Rhonda Waddell; nine grandchildren: Jimmy, Charlie, Paul, Daniel, Taylor, Patrick Jr., Katie, Karli, and Matthew; and seven great-grandchildren, Augustus, Gwendolyn, Harold, Marty III, Sean, Kylie, and Brody; his sister Nancy Brocco; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 12:30pm, followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park at 2:00pm.
Reflecting on a lifetime friendship, Clarence quipped, "Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, Charlie (Stallings)...we had a wild ride."
Remembering her husband, his wife Jean said, "His family was first in his life always. He loved his racecar, he had a lifetime as a mechanic, and he loved every minute of it..."
