Clarence W. Engelke, age 92, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday June 12, 2021 in Houston, Texas.
Clarence was born in Navasota, Texas to John Engelke and Viola Rost on February 17, 1929. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then went to school at Blinn College and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He married Carolyn Kalleen on April 4, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston. He worked as an Accountant for the Houston Independent School District for over 30 years. He was involved in his church, Pilgrim Lutheran, for many years.
Clarence is preceded in death by his father, John Engeke, his mother Viola Rost, his older brother, John (Sonny) Engelke, and his younger brother, Ben Engelke.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Engelke, his daughter, Heidi Engelke, his son, Dustin Engelke, his granddaughter Kaelyn Huang and his grandson Austin Huang.
