Mrs. Clara Mae Austin was born on November 30, 1935, to the late Spencer Huffman and Annie Lee Austin in Bellville TX. She attended public school in Union Center. She accepted Christ at an early age. She moved to Houston where she worked at Shriners Hospital as a nursing assistant. She went on to marry the late James C. Cooper in 1977. They were married for 34 years.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents Spencer Huffman and Annie Lee Austin, two granddaughters; Chassidy M. Marlborough and DeNesha Mitchell.
She leaves to cherish her memories one sister; Ruthie Austin, four daughters; Sandra Baines, Linda Sanders, Annette Darby and Regina Lewis, all of Houston TX, 11 grandkids and 19 great grand kids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
