Cipriano G. Garza, age 86, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico. He enjoyed gardening and had the green thumb effect with everything he grew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona V. Garza. He is survived by his children: Hilda Champ and husband Rodney Berry; Jim J. Garza and wife Linda; Sally Harvey and husband Wayne; Javier Garza and wife Nancy; J. R. Garza and wife Pauline; and Mona Garza; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Mela Najera; brother, Raymundo Garza and wife Soccoro; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. A Reception will then be held at the family residence.
