Christy Lynn Johnson

Christy Lynn Johnson was born July 31, 1955, to Chester Horton in Houston, TX and Christine Shoup in Houston, TX. She was the third of five children, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Johnson and Michael Johnson. Christy attended Booker T. Washington High School in Houston, Texas. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life, and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She later joined and claimed membership at New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Houston, TX.   Christy was employed with Humane Health Care, Inc. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.   She leaves to cherish her father, Chester Horton; mother, Christine (Shoup) Nathan; sister, Deborah Edwards (Frederick) of Paris, TX; two half-sisters, including Faye; brother, William Johnson (Sylvia) of Houston, TX; five half-brothers, including Chester Ray Horton of Houston, TX, and Anthony Horton of Fort Worth, TX; special friend, Jerome Porter of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
