Christopher Paul Caswell

Christopher Paul Caswell of Houston passed away at his home with his wife Andrea at his side, on Friday, the 23rd of September 2022, after battling sarcoma cancer for 15 months. He was 52 years of age.

He was the son of the late Paul W. Caswell of Peace Dale, Rhode Island, and the late Catherine A. Sabukewicz Caswell of Narragansett, Rhode Island.

Chris was born in Stanford, Connecticut on the 29th of December 1969. Chris’ family moved to Greenwich, Connecticut shortly after he was born. At the age of five, he discovered the golf course, inspiring his endeavors forward. He graduated from Greenwich High School in 1987. Chris graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in 1991 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. From there he moved to Houston and began his career at M.W. Kellogg.

Chris had an outstanding career at M.W. Kellogg, KBR and later Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc. Chris joined M.W. Kellogg in the vessel mechanical area and over his career advanced to Director on LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Technology. In September of 2020, Kiewit hired Chris to be VP of Technology including LNG. He published many papers at major LNG conferences and served on many industry panels and program committees. Chris became recognized as a worldwide leader in the LNG business, one of the largest business lines in the energy business. He will be very much missed by his many LNG friends.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Andrea Bennett Caswell and his son, Jack Christopher Caswell, both of Houston; and in-laws, Lance and Linda Bennett of Baytown, Texas; along with numerous friends and colleagues.

The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 22nd of October, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons Funeral Directors, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where Fr. Peter Damian is to officiate.

Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family and share remembrances of Chris during a celebration of his life at a venue to be announced during the service. If you plan to attend the celebration of life, a videographer will be onsite to record your video memory for Jack.
