On January 3, 2019, we lost our sunshine when our mother, daughter, sister and friend lost her battle. Christine Oser Morales was born in Ann Arbor, MI to George Talbot and Marie Morgan Oser. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Houston, Texas which has continued to be her home. Christine received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her MBA from the University of Houston. Christine spent the first part of her career serving her community working for SER Jobs for Progress, United Way of Greater Houston, and the Swalm Foundation. She left the Swalm Foundation to raise her two beautiful children, Nicholas Morales and Madeline Morales. After several years devoted to her children, Christine started her own business. Once she sold the business, she consulted on marketing for other small business owners.
Christine will be remembered for her unending compassion for others – she never met a stranger – and her smile and laughter. She was a ray of sunshine where ever she went and always made everyone feel loved and valued. She believed strongly in helping others and demonstrated that care through her work, volunteering, and her children. She was actively involved in her children’s schools, volunteering in many different aspects from pre-school through middle school. The light and love of Christine’s life were her two children, Nick and Maddie and her two nieces, Sadie and Emma.
Christine is survived by her children, Nicholas and Madeline Morales, her mother, Marie Morgan Oser, her sisters, Margaret Oser and Ruthanne Greenwood, her nieces Sadie and Emma Greenwood, her aunt Susan Sharp, her aunt and uncle, Carole and Gerald Mixon, and her counsins, Michael and Eric Sharp and Matthew and Geoffrey Mixon.
Services for Christine will be on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Sinai, 13875 Brimhurst, Houston, Texas 77077, officiated by Rev. Brad Sullivan, Emmanuel Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mental Health America, www.mentalhealthamerica.net.
