Christian Jevon Jackson was born in Houston on December 13, 2003 to the parents of Moses Jackson and Pauline Green. Christian accepted Christ at an early age and relied heavily on his faith over the years.
Christian attended Kipp Houston from Pre-K through 12th grade. He graduated on June 3, 2023 from Generation Collegiate. He attended Forest Lawn Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor Ricky Bell, currently under the leadership of Pastor JMichael Elmore. He joined the Sunshine Choir and loved to sing and enjoyed participating until he health began to decline. He attended Sunday School and enjoyed Vacation Bible School every summer.
He loved his family very much and enjoyed reminiscing on his early childhood, specifically recalling memories of playing with his favorite cousins. He truly enjoyed family trips. He also loved his brothers, niece, and nephews very much.
He had a wonderful sense of humor especially when it came to watching commercials, TikTok reels and YouTube videos.He loved to watch ALL genres of sports. His favorite team was the Kansas City Chiefs where Patrick Mahomes was his all time favorite player. He also loved gaming. Battle Field, Call of Duty, and WWE (to name a few) were some favorite games to play during his pass time. Every year, he’d purchase the latest gaming systems for himself. Make-A-Wish Foundation helped with making a life long dream come true by awarding Christian and all expense paid vacation to Disney World in Florida. He was fascinated with zip-lining and roller coasters.
Christian was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 5 years old in 2008. His health declined over the years, specifically muscle degeneration over time. He defied the odds of his life expectancy being 12 years and lived 8 years beyond. He passed away at the age of 20 years old on April 26, 2024 at Harbor Hospice.
Christian was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and cousin Guy Anthony Moody (who was also diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy).
Christian leaves to mourn his parents, Pauline and Moses, brothers Lance (Makeka)Jackson and Daren (Ceta) Jackson, his best friend and dog Blue (named for his favorite color) and a host other relatives and friends.
Christian's visitation will be held on May 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Paradise Funeral Home Chapel located at
10401 W. Montgomery Rd. Houston, Texas 77088. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.. The committal will be held from 12:30 pm to 12:45 p.m. at Paradise Cemetery North at 10401 W. Montgomery Rd. Houston, Texas 77088.
