Cheryl "Sheri" Anne Cochran

Sheri graduated from G.C. Scarborough High School in 1973 and attended Sam Houston State University where she met her husband Chester. After returning to Houston, Sheri attended and graduated from the University of Houston. She worked for a time in the medical office of her Mother In-Law Jaime Cochran before settling in at LD Systems. Sheri was selfless and generous when it came to assisting others or volunteering for organizations or events that peaked her insatiable curiosity. She loved gardening, traveling the world, attending the symphony, opera and reading. Most of all, Sheri loved her family, pups, and friends.

Sheri was born on June 26, 1955 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the first child of William and Natalie Black, both of whom predeceased her, as did sisters Michelle and Cynthia. She is survived by her husband Chester (Houston), her brother Rick Black and wife Janelle and their children Shannon, William and Ryan (Round Rock, Texas), sister Andrea Black and spouse Tracey (Houston), Mother In-Law Jaime Cochran (Houston), Aunts Jeanne Sullivan (Franklin, New Hampshire) and Vicky Black (Maynard, Massachusetts), Nephew Travis (Houston), Nieces Amanda (Houston) and Michelle Wilkinson, Great Niece Eilise VanRaadshooven (Houston), numerous cousins, friends and her beloved pups; Leica, Chloe, Zoe and Trinket.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations of time, food, or money be donated in Sheri's name to a local "No Kill" animal shelter in your area. Though she made it easy to love her, we would like to thank all of you for the friendship, love and prayers that you shared with Sheri. Chester, Rick and Andrea.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, April 20, 2015, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1015 Antoine Drive, Houston.
