She was born in Jacinto City, Texas on September 8th, 1956. Cheryl graduated from Galena Park High School and received an Associate’s Degree from San Jacinto College. She was known to many as Ms. Cheryl, Aunt Cheryl, Ms. E, and of course, Mamaw.
Cheryl had a career in substitute teaching for Huffman ISD, Dayton ISD, and also worked in customer service. She was an active participant in many functions for breast cancer awareness, and had a passion for sewing, playing piano, plastic canvas, cross stitching, and reading.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Bear. She was survived by her father Marvin Lee Bear, son Jeffrey Allan Everitt and wife Daisy Allison Everitt, daughter Jamie Lynn Arroyo and husband Eleazar Arroyo, grandchildren Allison Yvette Saenz, Isabella Renee Saenz, Christopher Michael Everitt, Connor Allan Everitt, Alanna Elise Everitt, Grace Elizabeth Arroyo, Faith Sarai Arroyo, Kaitlynn Joy Arroyo, baby Arroyo in the womb, brother Bruce Wayne Bear and wife Brenda Sue Bear, and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on April 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX. Funeral Service will be held on April 27, 2021 at 11:45 am at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX. Committal Service will be held on April 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX.
