Charles Gregory Moore

Charles Gregory Moore, better known as “Greg” to his friends and family, entered into rest on September 17, 2017. He was born August 3, 1959 in Tyler, Texas to Dr. and Mrs. Norman Hall Moore, Jr. (Sue Nell)

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Nell Goforth Moore.

Greg is survived by his son, Cody Moore; sisters, Marget Moore Sablatura, Susan Moore, and Laura Moore; brother, David Quackenbush; parents, Norman and Barbara Moore; and his beloved companion, Zoey.

Greg graduated from Westchester High School before later attending Sam Houston State University. Greg left Sam Houston to pursue commercial diving where he worked as an underwater welder in the Gulf of Mexico. He then went on to start up a business called Wet-Tech Pool & Patio which he has now owned and operated for over 25 years.

Greg had a personality that was larger than life and a heart that was even bigger. He never met a stranger, and was very persistent in his goal of helping others to attain their goals, without any motive or self-benefit. His only desire was to see the person smile. Unique, one of a kind, benevolent, sincere, gregarious, caring, giving, thoughtful; the list goes on. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him felt his special presence and his generous, loving spirit. His smile and stories brought happiness and everlasting memories to all he met. Heavens gates are wide open with his arrival.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, (281)497-2210.

The family requests that in honor of Greg’s love for the outdoors, everyone dress casual, colorful and comfortable.
