I was so sad to learn of Charlie's passing. I was honored to get to know him in his later years through our shared interest in McKim genealogy. I learned so much from him, and loved being able to share new discoveries with him. Charlie had a great sense of humor and I will fondly remember the time I got to spend with him.

Charlie, a true American Hero and a Gentleman in every way!  Godspeed Charlie!

When I was growing up in Illinois, we would visit Mom's family in Texas every other year. I always looked forward to seeing Uncle Charlie, Aunt Alice and my 3 cousins, often staying with them. He is missed. So sorry for your loss.

I second my sister Sheri's comments.  In the brief time we got to know Charlie, he was a bright light in our lives.  It's no surprise that he was loved by so many. Thanks Charlie!

My family was very fortunate to have had Charlie in our lives. His friendship with our mom, Ruby, was so touching. It brought her joy and was a true comfort to her in her final days.  Charlie was an intelligent, witty and oh-so-charming man who lived an amazing life. Charlie, the Zimmerman Family will forever hold you dearly in our hearts.
