Charles Edward Markham

Charles Edward Markham was the fourth child born to the late Willie and Mattie Markham on December 15, 1951. He departed this life on December 6, 2013. Charles was united in marriage to Laura Shorts Markham on March 2, 2013 in Houston, TX.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Mrs. Laura Shorts Markham; two son; four sisters, Ella Rose Austin of Houston, TX, Sarah Phillips, Lora Ann Markham and Frances Humphrey of Brookhaven, MS; along with a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Markham; his father, Willie E. Markham; and sister, Willie Mae Markham.

Charles was a graduate of Alexandria High School in Brookhaven, MS. He joined the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam with an honorable discharge.

Charles joined Disciples Tabernacle Church where he was baptized. He served God from a faithful heart, one that was in complete dedication to Christ and his mission for his life. Charles was attending the College of Biblical Studies where he was pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling until his death.

So as the family bids his farewell they wish to say, "Well done soldier, enjoy the rest of your reward."
