Charles greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Charles enjoyed fishing which he did on a regular basis with family throughout his life. He had a love for the steel guitar and hand built numerous and played often. Charles founded Andrews Machine Works which specialized in precision and close tolerance work, people and companies came from all over to retain his services. His ingenuity and determination were exemplary in everything he did. Pop never met a stranger and was the consummate picker always with the intention of making people laugh and you could always get him to do a little dance for you or to make the sound of the old steam train horn.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Morell Andrews of Corinth MS; and siblings, James Andrews of Colorado Springs, CO, Leon Andrews of Houston, TX, Billie Sue Felker of Jacksonville, AR, Jeannette Anderson of Corinth, MS and Wayne Andrews of Iuka, MS. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Beatrice Mae Andrews of Spring, TX; son Sidney Andrews and wife Andrea of Spring, TX and their children Zachary Andrews and wife Sara, Nicholas Andrews and wife Sandra, Sarah Gongora and husband Mark, Lauren Fincher and husband Matt; son Craig Andrews and wife Susannah and their children Claire and Cole of Cypress, TX; sisters/brothers Mary Lois Cook of Michigan, Bernice Latch of Kossuth, MS, Eleanor Donald of Corinth, MS, Diane Essary of Corinth, MS and Larry Andrews of Memphis, TN; along with seven great grandkids.
