Cil was born on May 13, 1937, in Hiltonia, Georgia to Cecil R. and Dorothy C. Odom. She graduated from the University of Maryland. She then went on to marry Murray Pennington and have two beautiful daughters Angelique Lynn and Andrea Monique. During this period in her life, she worked as a commodities broker on Wall Street. They moved to El Paso, Texas, where Cil owned multiple small businesses. Even though she was successful in her business, she wanted to achieve even more so she moved into a career in Real Estate. Her career in Real Estate was very exciting and successful. She worked for US Homes, Lennar, David Weekly, and retired from Design Tech. During her career in Real Estate, she was a top producer winning numerous awards such as new cadillacs and cash bonuses.
In 1981, she married the love of her life Lieutenant Colonel Jack C. Roles. She described their marriage as a 37 year honeymoon. They loved to travel and spent every summer in a condo on the beach in Florida.
Cecilia was a wonderful, loving, and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and friend to all those she held close to her heart. Most importantly her family will tell you Cecilia was a force to reckoned with. She prided herself on the love she spread, the advice she gave, and words of wisdom she shared. Although she will be deeply missed, we know she smiles down on us surrounded by those she reunited with.
