Cecilia Morales Chavez, age 94, born November 22, 1927, in Cuero, Texas. She was raised on a ranch in Cuero, Texas and moved to Corpus Christi at an early age before settling in Houston, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2022.
Cecilia loved watching the Houston Astros, taking trips to the Casinos and meeting with her Senior Citizens Groups.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hector Flores Chavez; parents, Bartolo Morales & Santos Morales Morales; sister, Guadalupe Morales Vela; brothers, Mateo, Camilo, Bartolo Jr., Frank Xavier & Abel Morales.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Rosanna Chavez Cabrera; son, Roland Morales Chavez & wife, Leonor Leticia Chavez, Rene Morales Chavez, Richard Morales Chavez & wife, Janie Anez Chavez; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Chavez Williams & husband, Jason, Christopher Cabrera, Jason Chavez & wife, Clara, Amanda Vasquez & husband, Rudy & Cristal Chavez; great-grandchildren, Jaden Williams, Julie & Jasmine Canseco, Danica, Riley & Aaron Vazques, Adam Cabrera, Josiah Chavez, Lyanna Chavez; brothers, Roger Morales & wife, Gloria.
Serving as Pallbearers: Jason Chavez, Christopher Cabrera, Jason Williams, Jaden Williams, Rudy Vasquez & Andy Villareal.

A visitation for Cecilia will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary service at 7:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St., Houston, TX 77009.
A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
