Catherine Williams was born on July 28, 1939, in Dickinson, TX to Ocee Lampkin and Lori Simmons Sr. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She relocated to Houston, TX where she had various jobs that included 20 + plus years with Millers Cleaners. Catherine’s most rewarding job was the time she spent taking care of loved ones. She later joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and served until her health began to fail.
Catherine was very outspoken who enjoyed playing dominoes, spades, pity pat, and solitaire. She also enjoyed cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ocee Lampkin and Lori Simmons Sr.; daughter, Lois Walker “Sista”; sons’ Johnny Lee, James, Roosevelt Sr; brother, Lori Jr; husband, Carl Neal; granddaughter, Deandra Mcoy; cousin, Edna Dilworth.
In the untimely death of her daughter, Lois Walker, she reared her three grandchildren, Arthur(Lil Man) at the age of 5, Anthony(AJ) at the age of 2, and Lois (Nikki) at birth who she dearly loved as her own.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jake Williams; special grandchildren, Arthur (Shalika), Lois (Xavier), Anthony, and Sean; stepchildren, Donna, Donald, Trina Clevland of Austin, TX special great-grandchildren; Deauvian, Krystle, Myracle; aunt, Jonell (Stepney); uncles, Charles and David Lampkin; special cousin, Betty Wilkerson; nieces, Dolores Syrell of Houston, Brenna, Tony of Dickerson, and nephew, Howard of Dickerson; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; Special friend,Wanda Loveless and a host of cousins and friends.
