Such a generous and precious person! She always had a great story and a beautiful smile.

such a big part of it. She will surely be missed. I know she is in Heaven now rejoicing with the Lord and seeing all Her friends and family who gone on before.

To the family of Catherine Kirkpatrick:
     Know that she was a special neighbor and an even better friend to all of us on Marlborough Drive.  I shall treasure my time with her sharing funny stories, and some sad ones, too, as we enjoyed a cold drink on a hot summer afternoon.   She was never too busy to listen and give words of wisdom that would make you feel better.
       We discussed the Bible and how God blessed us daily in spite of some of the hardships we both endured.  Her sewing skills of making a skirt longer, sleeves shorter, or even putting a patch on a favorite pair of blue jeans were used by many of us often.  
     She was very proud of all of you and told great stories about her grand children.

After WWII, as a young bride, I moved to Houston. Catherine visited me from North Main Baptist Church. I remember visiting, singing in the choir and working with her in VBS. Our friendship has continued for the past 63 years.  Catherine has been a wonderful Christian friend and I will never forget her smile and laughter.  I will miss her dearly.

Catherine was "One in a Million".  She was my replacement Mom. I am very proud she called me her "daughter".  She could brighten the room with her smile, I will surely miss her stories.  She showed me how to love all people. Her love and appreciation of her family and friends cannot be  described. 
To Donnie, Carolyn and family, I thank you for letting me be a part of Catherine's life in every way.  We can all celebrate the fact that she is "HOME".

Catherine was the sweetest person and was so willing to help everyone she received by phone and at the Waugh Drive Administration building as Receptionist for the Houston Community College.  She was a delight to work with and always had such wonderful "stories" to share.  She was always very protective of her co-workers and friends.  God blessed us with an angel and now she's watching over us and telling God all about us!! I'm so glad I got to know her. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.

Ms. Kirk sewed for me when I was a little girl.  She sewed matching polka dotted swiss dresses for my mother, sister and me one Easter.  What fun we had when we went to her home to watch her sew.  Mother would help her do the hemming, while Ms. Kirk sewed on the machine.  Then came lunch!!!  Wonderful tuna fish sandwiches and the most crisp polish pickles that she kept in a small pirex dish with a glass lid on top of the dish.  That was the highlight of the day of sewing.  She made most of our school clothes even in my high school days.  She will be remembered with much fondness and her happy disposition.  Donnie you take care.  Your mom is with her Lord and Saviour.  I think of you often in our olden days!!!

With my deepest sympathy to the Kirkpatrick family.  I am a friend or her son Don, and only met Catherine once, but I know from meeting her and Don's stories or her she was an amazing person.

Catherine was a friend of mine for 18 years.  I knew that she was a good cook, a GREAT NEIGHBOR, a GREAT CHRISTIAN, and a GREAT WOMAN. She never had a harsh word, OK, I got scolded a few times, but I know in my heart that each time it was deserved.  She taught Sunday School, and learned her lesson every week.  I will miss her forever, but I know where she is now.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.  Take good care of her, God.  Amen.
